Sapa Food Guide - What to Eat & Where to Eat in Sapa 2026

Paul Lee

This Sapa Food Guide is my personal culinary journey through Sapa Food and Sapa restaurants, and each dish comes with a memory.
I explored local restaurants, shared hotpot with friends in the cold mountain air, and even found my favorite noodle bowl in all of northern Vietnam.

Phở Gà Hòa Hương - H’mong-Style Chicken Pho

    Address: Số 5 Tuệ Tĩnh
This Sapa restaurant is where the locals come to enjoy their morning meals and feel like they are experiencing what it means to be part of the community in Sapa.
On the menu at Phở Gà Hòa Hương are chicken pho, beef pho, pork rolls, and roasted pork, priced between 35,000 VND and 45,000 VND.
Eating here in the early morning hours when the cold air hit me, and the combination of the warm broth and the mountain flavors of the dish will always be memorable.

    TukTuk Green Pepper Grilled Chicken

    Address: 639 Điện Biên Phủ
You can get a full set for 3 people for about 500,000 VND, which includes grilled chicken, rice, and chicken salad.
Even though it has been years since I enjoyed the grilled chicken at TukTuk Green Pepper, I still remember the taste of the juicy, smoky chicken perfectly paired with a cold beer.

Quý Bếp – My Top Pick for Hot Pot in Sapa

    Address: 09 Nguyễn Viết Xuân
I love sturgeon hot pot the most in Sapa.
There is no feeling better than sitting around a steaming hot pot on a cold day.
Each full set costs 700,000 – 800,000 VND, and I also had salmon sashimi (which was very surprising because it was so fresh and buttery).

Phương Quán – BBQ & Tea in a Mountain Setting

    Address: 26 Ngũ Chỉ Sơn
    Perfect cozy dinner spot.
For around 600,000 VND, a BBQ set for 3 people is available, and the warm tea is the perfect accompaniment to the grilled meats.
I ended up staying here longer than I had planned, simply drinking tea and watching the fog roll down the mountain.

    Cốn Sủi Ông Há

    Address: 436 Điện Biên Phủ
This restaurant is an easy-to-find gem serving only 3 dishes using traditional local ingredients:

    • Cốn sủi (thick rice noodles served with gravy).
    • Sủi cảo (dumplings).
    • Mì vằn thánh (wonton noodles).

All at only 50,000 VND per bowl.
My first bite remains one of the best moments I experienced while eating in Sapa. It was the rich flavor of the broth mixed with the texture of the thick noodles and the aroma of the herbs as they rose from the steam.
